About

Koosha Beads were created by us – two children and their Mum and Dad – as a way of counting our blessings for the wonderful life we have now, as well as setting our intentions for the future. The word Koosha comes from the Hindi word “Khusa” which means “Happy”!

How did this come into being?

We live in an amazing world full of opportunity and adventure, and yet we see so many people unhappy or angry about the way things are. And we see children who are given everything, but are ungrateful because they are caught up in the idea that the only way to be happy is to have the things that everyone else does – and they have come to expect that everything they want should be immediately given to them.

We realised that for us, happiness came from knowing how much we already have, and being grateful for even the small things that make our day enjoyable – and we use Koosha Beads to remind ourselves of those things each day, and let each other know how we have brought happiness to the family.

We also realised that a sense of excitement and anticipation comes from looking forward to having even more wonderful things come into our lives – but to make that happen, you need to know what those wonderful things are! And that is why there are two sets of beads on each Koosha – one for the things you are grateful for right now, and the other for setting your intentions (or dreams)

We want to share this simple but powerful ritual with you, and help as many people around the world experience more joy and happiness in their lives.

And especially for children – if you can teach your children the value of true gratefulness, and the value of really visualising their dreams and future, you are giving them a gift that will set them up for far greater happiness and fulfilment in their lives.

True happiness comes from feeling the inner peace of being grateful for what you have. Whatever happens and wherever you are, Koosha Beads are there to remind you of those things, to bring you up when you are down, to keep you moving forward when you are on a roll, and to help bring more contentment, peace, joy and happiness into your life!
