Koosha Beads

Koosha beads are designed to help you and your children live a happier and more fulfilling life by helping you to discover and focus on the things you are grateful for and the things that you would like to have in your life.

They are small so they fit neatly into your hand where you can hold them and use them for strength and guidance. There are 5 beads of each colour, one colour to represent gratefulness and the other colour to represent intention (or for children, wishes)

When you first get your Koosha, you need to make them your own using this technique:

  • Sit quietly and breathe deeply. Settle yourself until you feel calm and centered.
  • Hold your Koosha looped over your index finger as shown in the picture, and then enclose them in your hand. Feel them, and feel the attributes of the gemstones they are made of.
  • When you are ready, start thinking about your life, and the things you are grateful for. It may be love from family or friends, your children, your parents, your health, your wealth, your home, your cup of tea in the morning, the sunny day, your pet, or events like a special day, holiday or adventure you have had. Now put your focus back on your Koosha and feel which colour gemstones are right for gratefulness. They will be your gratefulness beads.
  • Now do the same for intention. Think about the things that you would love to have in your life – a loving relationship, better health, more wealth, your dream home, your dream job, harmony in relationships, rewards or holidays, more time for relaxing or spending as you wish. Now focus on the other colour beads. They will be your intention beads.
  • Now pick up the first gratefulness bead and hold it between your thumb and forefinger, take a deep breath and think about something you are grateful for. Make that picture in your mind bright and vivid. Smell the smells, taste the tastes, hear the sounds of being in that moment or being with that thing that makes you feel grateful. Press the bead between your thumb and forefinger and say to your self “I’m so grateful that I have…”
  • Repeat this process with the other 4 beads, each time bringing an image into your mind of the thing you are grateful for.
  • Then do this process with your intentions. Take an intention bead and hold it between your thumb and forefinger, take a deep breath and think about something your would like to have come into your life. Be very specific – not just “a better relationship”, but “a strong and loving relationship with a person that is trustworthy, calm and genuine”. Then say to yourself “I have a….” and fill in what you have decided you want.
  • Repeat this process with the other 4 beads, each time bringing an image into your mind of the thing you want and intend for you life.

Just by getting your mind to do this each day, you will feel happier, more positive and more joyful! Your Koosha will become a strong symbol for you, and you will feel a smile spread across your face and a deep sense of fullfilment and happiness every time you hold it in your hands.
